The young man accused of cloning President Bola Tinubu's voice, Ifechukwu Dennis, the alleged originator of an AI-generated voice note impersonating the President, had languished in police detention and later in the Kuje Correctional Centre. Today, however, human rights lawyer Prince Wayne Esq. Aluta Icon Chikeze secured his release. We were present in court to witness it, we've since confirmed that he's rejoined his family. We have now learned that the Nigeria Police Force has filed fresh charges against him at the Federal High Court, in what appears to be a continuation of his ordeal. This fight is far from over. We will continue to challenge these charges and stand with him until he is completely free from what we believe to be an oppressive campaign of persecution.
